The concept was to portray the purity of Gaia within a surrealistic, chaotic and ruined world. Gaia's presence, her blooming flowers and bright aura gives us hope—a stark contrast to the feeling of doom throughout the image.
This is my attempt at a modern Dali with a touch of Chris Van Allsburg.
There was a tremendous amount of consideration that went into staging the dense scene. I choreographed the image as a series of moments, whereby careful crops of the image could stand alone as a unique story and individual pieces of art.
